The PIPELINE LASER SOLUTION is a new revolutionary tool designed to measure anomalies in pipes using the speed and accuracy of laser technology. This tool was designed after many hours of conversation with very experienced pipeliners in the field and design/pipeline engineers to ascertain what features they felt should be incorporated into this highly needed solution for measuring pipe anomalies . The features most frequently discussed were, a process that is quick but very accurate, safe and capable of fully documenting, in detail, the entire process.

PIPELINE LASER SOLUTION

QUICK

The PIPELINE LASER SOLUTION is a tool that can easily be implemented by a crew of two. The time required to remove this tool from its protective carry case and place on the pipe, ready to start the measuring/analyzing process is typically less than 20 minutes. The total time required will depend on the conditions found on-site but a measurement around the complete circumference of the pipe typically takes approximately 3 to 4 minutes.  These circumference measurements can be repeated along the length of the pipe in any number of times required by on-site conditions without having to relocate the PIPELINE LASER SOLUTION tool.

ACCURATE

The PIPELINE LASER SOLUTION incorporates a laser measuring device that is accurate to 2mm/0.08in.

SAFE

The PIPELINE LASER SOLUTION is lightweight, being constructed of high strength aluminum for the larger parts and stainless steel for fittings to insure the lightest weight possible and protection against rust and corrosion.  The PIPELINE LASER SOLUTION is easily handled by a two person crew with no mechanical lifting equipment required.

DOCUMENTATION

The PIPELINE LASER SOLUTION is operated using a custom designed software program that collects any user entered information, notes, photos, automatically makes all necessary calculations, creates informative graphic displays and, at the end of the process, creates a permanent, detailed report of the entire process that can be printed or emailed immediately.

The PIPELINE LASER SOLUTION is delivered in a protective case which contains everything that is required to successfully conduct the task of measuring anomalies in pipe and maintaining the PIPELINE LASER SOLUTION tool in the field;

  • The complete PIPELINE LASER SOLUTION tool
  • A laser measuring device
  • A tablet with the PIPELINE LASER SOLUTION software preloaded
  • 3 lengths of the sliding, laser measuring device’s support arm to provide a range of measurement up to 135” along the length of the pipe
  • A 24” digital level to aid in the proper installation of the PIPELINE LASER SOLUTION tool on the pipe
  • A crisscross laser and target for confirming that the PIPELINE LASER SOLUTION tool is properly aligned parallel to the pipe, both horizontally and vertically.
  • Two web safety support straps to aid in the safe installation of the PIPELINE LASER SOLUTION tool on the pipe
  • A 3/8 socket set
  • A philips head style screw driver
